After receiving rave reviews in Melbourne, Cal Wilson is taking All Ears to Sydney. The storytelling extraordinare who has been a regular guest onThank God You’re HereGood News Week and Spicks and Specks, is known for her sharp, witty, creative style. But this time she is bringing something new to the mix.

Not only will Wilson be sharing her own stories but the audience are invited to divulge their own tales in an evening that is rife with anecdotes ranging from the triumphant to the mortified. “It’s a show about things I love to tell and hear stories about,” Wilson says. “I’m not threatening on stage and there’s no pressure to share but once a subject is brought up people have a story they can relate.’’

Wilson puts topics on a board for audiences to pick from including near-death experiences and people who love their pets too much. “[Audiences] shape the show,” she explains. “It’s like a dinner party without dud stories because I’m curating what’s going on and I’ve always got a story to bookend. So if it’s not the best story then we will get back to laughing really quickly.”

“After the show finishes the whole room erupts in conversation,” she continues. “I love that everyone goes off into the night where they can tell more stories to each other.”
