Emma Salkild wins epistolary novel competition
In November 2010, I was selected to write an epistolary novel through the Australian Literature Review. I had to come up with two characters and a scenario of why these characters would write to one another. I didn’t know the person I was writing to and we were advised not to discuss the plot at any time throughout the writing process. You can read more about this here.
After two months of sending weekly emails, my partner and I sent our manuscript off to the judges. On March 1st we discovered we had won the competition. My partner in crime is the very talented author, Lia Weston.
Portia and Sibylla will be printed and auctioned later on in the year. You can read more about the competition here.
